Now Accepting Fall 2016 Registrations CYO Golf Program

About the Program:

The CYO Golf Program, will be run through the support of the The First Tee Program of Metropolitan New York. The objective of this program is to provide the children in the CYO community and beyond an opportunity to experience golf and to instill the values of the sport that can positively impact their lives. Modeling after the The First Tee Nine Core Values such as honesty, integrity and confidence is a sampling of values that will be taught through the CYO golf program by the instructors and the natural rules of the game.

Participants:

This program is open to all ability levels for children in grades 4 - 8. Children will be evaluated based on ability level in their first session and grouped accordingly based on 1) age and 2) ability.

Equipment:

All equipment will be provided onsite and is not required to purchase. Children are welcome to bring their own golf clubs, but for convenience, everything will be provided on site. The CYO, Mosholu Golf Course or the First Tee Program will not be responsible for any personal equipment brought onsite.

By Train:
Take BRONX bound 4 (green line) train to the Woodlawn stop (last stop). Exit the station on the Left Hand side doorway and take the stairs to the street level. From there you will see construction and a street light – walk towards the streetlight in the direction of a park/woods/cemetery (across the street). Walk about 100 yards and enter into the walking path for Mosholu Park. Follow the path until it comes out onto a road and make a left. You will see the golf course parking lot, gate, and clubhouse.

In addition, you may walk along Jerome Avenue (outside of the in park walking path, across from the Woodlawn Cemetery) and walk about 250 yards to the next light. Make a left onto the street and walk about another 60 yards and make a left onto the driveway. The course entrance will be ahead.

The walk should take no more than 7-10 mins from the train depending on your route. Please make sure that you are not walking along Jerome Ave towards shops and vendors. If you do see stores/restaurants you are headed in the wrong direction.
